The Monster on Paper
Monster images spread across the table. Each child finds their creature, sketches it, and cuts the first mounting board shape.

The Making

Children work at their own pace with real materials — mounting board, paste, acrylics. Virginia guides only when needed, only as much as is needed.

The Snack

A pause at the shared table. Something to eat, time to slow down and talk about what's taking shape.

The Story

Virginia closes each day with one chapter — a story woven around the monsters the children are making. Each day, another piece.

The hands behind the work.

Virginia is a Swiss kindergarten teacher and AMI Montessori-certified educator who has spent years observing what children are capable of when they are trusted with real materials, given the time to use them well, and treated as the young artists they already are.

Her training in fine arts and theatre — at Kalakshetra Foundation in India and Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Ticino — shapes the rhythm of every session. A story to enter. A medium to explore. A finished thing to take home.

No — each group is a self-contained unit of six children who work together all week. One group per child.

The project continues — Virginia will help them catch up the following day. Individual missed days are not refunded.

Old clothes or a smock — paint and paste are part of the process.
