Independent hands. Creative hearts. Montessori-led craft workshops for children aged 5–7, in the heart of Albisrieden.
Four hours of tactile, focused work with raw materials, a story to enter, and a snack at the shared table. No screens. No rushing. Just the child, the medium, and a teacher who knows when to step back.
Virginia is a Swiss kindergarten teacher and AMI Montessori-certified educator who has spent years observing what children are capable of when they are trusted with real materials, given the time to use them well, and treated as the young artists they already are.
Her training in fine arts and theatre — at Kalakshetra Foundation in India and Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Ticino — shapes the rhythm of each workshop. A story to enter. A medium to explore. A finished thing to take home.
Each workshop follows a single theme — gathered from a story, carried into the making, shared at the table.
Children settle in with real tools and natural materials. The work is theirs — Virginia guides only when needed, only as much as is needed.
A pause at the shared table. Time to slow down, talk about what's taking shape, and gather energy for the second half.
A picture book or short tale tied to what they've made. Stories shape memory; the craft becomes part of the story they take home.
This is what four hours look like in the room — paper strips being woven, scissors passed hand to hand, scraps gathered into something new. Children working alongside one another, each at their own pace, each at their own piece.
